Pain and a non-scale victory

Yesterday was my second seriously touristy day in San Francisco. I got the bus and train into the city and waited patiently for the tour bus to come round the corner. I waited for 45 minutes then gave up and decided to walk (yes I actually chose to move my body instead of waiting for a 4 wheeled vehicle) I felt happy and free walking through the streets miles from anyone who knew me. Then I came face to face with an enormous hill, argh my nemesis, I hate hills and stairs. I took a deep breath and put one foot in front of the other (admittedly after spending a few minutes waiting for a cable car which never came) I wandered up and down hills through Chinatown and the city. I also did the tour bus over the golden gate bridge and through Sausalito and caught the train home. I went to the shops to get some fish for dinner on the way home and ended up getting off at the wrong bus stop and walking for ages and ages. I arrived home about sore as anything but pretty pleased with myself for walking so far and tackling the hills. This morning I woke up with such a sore bottom despite having done lots and lots of stretching last night, nice to know I've given them a good work out! Ok so the non-scale victory? Last night I put on a t-shirt to sleep in, it's a very cute design from Threadless but their women's extra extra large is like an 18 so I have to order the men's extra extra large. Normally I have to do a bit super stretch on the hips and on the arms, last night, no super stretch was required, woo hoo! Very excited and motivated to keep being moderately careful of what I'm putting in my mouth and making educated decisions about what I really want to eat.
